The CMMOD mission is to educate and train selected personnel from all EAPC and Mediterranean Dialogue (MD) countries, including Romania, in support of the current and developing NATO and UE doctrine and procedures used in multinational operations.
TASKS
To educate selected personnel from all EAPC and Mediterranean Dialogue (MD) countries, including Romania, in the rank of Major to Colonel, or their civilian equivalent, for command and staff appointments in a joint warfare and multinational environment.
To educate selected staff officers from all EAPC countries, including Romania, in NATO compatible approach to command, staff, operational and logistic procedures up to Brigade level.
To give selected officers and civilians an understanding of the concepts, planning and conduct of PSO and to familiarize them with current staff procedures in order to enable them to work within or to a NATO or coalition multinational Headquarters.
To train professionals who will serve in the broad area of crisis management and who will have to interact with national and international agencies involved in crisis management.
To train officers and civilians in the spirit of European security culture for staff appointments in the Common Security and Defence Policy framework.
To organize Mobile Training Teams in order to conduct pre-mission or exercise training for Headquarters or units, in NATO and EU compatible command and staff procedures, as directed by the General Staff.
Establish a network among former Department trainees, in order to disseminate best practices in land, joint and multinational doctrine and staff procedures.
