The Crisis Management and Multinational Operations Department (CMMOD) is the result of the transformation process of the Romanian military training and education system.

To the previously existing PfP Regional Training Centre was added a new Crisis Management Training Centre (CMTC) to form up Crisis Management and Multinational Operations College.

In 2010, in the name was change in Crisis Management and Multinational Operations Department (CMMOD) in order to obey the newly approved national education law.
